Colin Clarke winner of the 2021 'John Goss Prize' at the 68th Hertford Open Exhibition for his art work High Rise to Let 2 - Wells next to Sea-Norfolk

 Colin James Clarke was born in London in 1952 where during his early education a passion for art first developed.  His interest continued to flourish throughout his teen years, leading to further study with the Ware College of Art and Design.  His development has been through pallet knife paintings to pen and ink and water colour in his studies of the English landscape, architecture, birds and small animals of Northern Europe. 

His career has been in the retail display and design with the London fashion industry followed by a privately run business in antiques, fine art and furniture restoration. 

Colin has exhibited at the Fitzhamon Art Centre Tewksbury, The Town Library; The Leisure Centre and the Dennington Gallery Stevenage; at the Assembly Rooms and at the Copper Kettle Gallery in Much Hadham.  Colin has also exhibited in the City of London; the West End at the Seen Galleries, The Medici Gallery and Bond Street. His work is held in private collections worldwide. Currently showing at ART @ MG - Mardleybury Gallery, Hertfordshire.
