Mosaic Workshops Beginners and Improvers

£50 per person.  Adults or young person 14+ (accompanied by a participating adult).

 

Join Julie and create an indoor mosaic panel using a 20x20cm square wooden base and an array of materials such as glass, tiles and broken crockery.

 

Starting with an overview of how mosaics are created Julie will then teach you 

how to cut and shape materials using the tools provided.  This will be followed

by an introduction to adhesives and grouting and finally a few tips!

 

You will use the three and a half hour session to plan, create and stick your mosaic.  This can be using a design of your choice or take inspiration from pictures provided. As your mosaic will need time to dry before grouting you will receive a quantity of grout with printed instructions to grout your piece at home.  

 

Tea, coffee or a cold drink are available along with a couple of biccies.  Safety gloves and glasses are provided.  There are toilets on site and ample parking plus a tearoom next door (open Thurs-Sun).
